Offshore Powerboat Experience

Powerboating has long been an elitist sport, reserved for the super-rich. But not since the Honda Formula 4-Stroke Series! In just 3 years this boat has grown from concept into the largest one-design power boat championship in the world. With additional safety features, control equipment and the expert guidance of ex-Powerboat champions as your instructors you can be sure you are in safe hands. Itinerary: The experience will start with a safety briefing and introduction to the boat. Then you will enjoy a leisurely run up the river Itchen, past Southampton Docks. From there the boat travels at high speed out into Southampton Water. Full training will be given by experienced offshore powerboat drivers (most of which are national or world offshore champions). Speeds up to 60mph Each driver has 20mins driving time 4 people in each boat plus the driver Runs all days of the week. Location: Southampton (South East). Key information: On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for 10 months. Approximately 1.5 hours will be spent on the water. The total duration of the experience is approx 2 hours participants will receive a presentation certificate at the end. Participants will have a chance to take full control of the boat if they wish. The Powerboat driving season runs from April-October. The boats depart from Southampton . Full location details will be given on booking. The minimum age is 12 - individuals aged 12-16 will be accommodated in their own boat; it is not possible for parents to accompany children. Maximum weight is 16 stone. Powerboat Zapcat Blast

There are few experiences that can match powerboating for sheer exhilaration, and this Zapcat experience is sure to knock your socks off. You will take a seat in a race-ready Zapcat capable of pulling in excess of 2G in a turn, with a power to weight ratio of 340 bhp per tonne. The acceleration is unlike anything you will have experienced so prepare to hold on for the ride of your life! Itinerary: On arrival at the marina you will have a safety briefing, before taking to the water. All equipment will be provided. This experience will include around two hours on the water in a Zapcat and also a 225hp RIB. In total the experience will last between two and three hours depending on location. Location: Southampton (South), Helensburgh, Brighton (South East). Key information: On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for ten months. You are then free to book a day for your experience. This experience takes place on selected Saturdays and Sundays; throughout the year in Southampton and from March-October in Brighton. There will be up to 11 other participants on this experience with you. Dry suits, wet suits and boots are provided. Showers and changing facilities are available.
